Terms of Use

These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your access to the Formula Automotive Museum website (famuseum.org), our reservation and booking services, and any visit to our premises at 4212 Center St, Houston, TX 77007. By using the website or making a reservation, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the site or our services.
1. Reservations and Approvals
General admission and private event reservations submitted through our website are requests until reviewed and confirmed by museum staff. We may decline or modify any reservation at our discretion, including for capacity, scheduling, or facility reasons. Confirmation is provided by email; your reservation is not final until you receive that confirmation.
2. Payment
Payment is due in full at the time of booking unless otherwise stated. We accept payment through Stripe, our third-party payment processor; use of Stripe is subject to Stripe's own terms. By submitting payment information, you represent that you are authorized to use the payment method.
3. Cancellations, Refunds, and Rebookings
All bookings are non-refundable. Once payment is submitted, we do not issue refunds for general admission, private events, or any other museum service.
At the sole discretion of museum management, we may allow you to reschedule a confirmed booking to a future date, subject to availability. Rescheduling requests should be sent to [email protected] as far in advance as possible. Approval is not guaranteed and may depend on the type of booking, the timing of the request, and current availability.
4. Private Events
Private events (corporate gatherings, weddings, parties, photo shoots, and other buyouts) are custom-quoted and may be subject to a separate event agreement, deposit schedule, and venue rules provided at booking. In the event of a conflict between these Terms and a signed event agreement, the event agreement controls.
5. Conduct on Premises
For the protection of the collection and other guests, we ask that visitors:
- Do not touch vehicles, displays, or exhibit platforms.
- Maintain a reasonable distance from all vehicles at all times.
- Supervise minors at all times. Children 13 and under must be accompanied by a parent or guardian aged 18 or older.
- Follow staff instructions regarding access, photography, and event setup.
We reserve the right to refuse admission or remove any guest whose conduct disrupts museum operations or risks damage to the collection. No refund or rebooking will be issued in such cases.
6. Photography
Personal handheld photography is welcome unless signage indicates otherwise. Tripods, lighting rigs, drones, and professional or commercial shoots must be coordinated in advance — please use our contact page (famuseum.org/contact) to inquire about a photo-shoot booking.
7. Intellectual Property
All content on famuseum.org — including text, images, branding, video, and design — is owned by or licensed to Formula Automotive Museum unless otherwise noted. You may view, download, and print content for personal, non-commercial use as long as all copyright and trademark notices remain intact. Any other use, including reproduction, redistribution, or commercial use, requires our prior written permission.
8. User-Submitted Content
Any feedback, photos, testimonials, or other content you submit to us is treated as non-confidential. You grant Formula Automotive Museum a worldwide, royalty-free, non-exclusive license to use, reproduce, and display that content for our operations, marketing, and educational purposes. We may attribute or anonymize at our discretion.
9. Assumption of Risk
A museum visit involves moving among displayed vehicles and event setups. You acknowledge that you visit at your own risk and agree to follow staff instructions and posted signage. Formula Automotive Museum is not liable for personal injury, lost or damaged property, or other loss except where required by law.
10. Disclaimer and Limitation of Liability
The website and our services are provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Formula Automotive Museum disclaims all warranties, express or implied, and is not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages arising out of your use of the website or our services.
11. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Updates take effect when posted on this page; the "Effective date" above will reflect the most recent revision. Continued use of the website or our services after an update constitutes acceptance.
12. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute arising out of these Terms or your use of the website or our services will be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Harris County, Texas.
